Global Professional Media Ltd sold to Incisive Media Plc

Fusion Corporate Partners is pleased to announce the sale of Global Professional Media Ltd, publisher of the trade weekly title, Legal Week, to Incisive Media Plc.

Incisive Media have acquire the 80% of GPM they did not already own for a cash consideration of approximately £5.7 million. Implying a total value for GPM of approximately £7.2M.

GPM publishes one of the leading weekly trade publications for lawyers, Legal Week and a targeted selection of successful brand extensions, awards, forums, websites and research reports. GPM generated revenues of £4.5 million in 2004.

Fusion acted exclusively for the shareholders of GPM and co-ordinated approaches to potential purchasers in the UK, Europe and US. Incisive had been a founding 20% shareholder in GPM in 1998 and had the option to match the best offer placed on the business as part of the process. After due deliberation Incisive decided to take up their option. This acquisition represents a strong platform for Incisive Media to build its business model in the legal market.
